What can SpinVahti flag?

Direct false factual claim: A concrete claim that seems to contradict reliable evidence.
Unsupported claim: A strong factual-sounding statement without a source.
Factual-sounding exaggeration: Absolute claims like “everyone,” “nobody,” “always,” or “never.”
Misleading causal claim: A claim that says X caused Y without enough evidence.
Ad hominem: Attacking the person instead of answering the argument.
False dilemma: Presenting only two options when more options exist.
Slippery slope: Claiming that one small step will automatically lead to disaster.
Hasty generalization: Making a broad conclusion from too little evidence.
Appeal to fear: Using fear instead of evidence to persuade people.
Loaded question: A question that contains a hidden accusation or assumption.
Circular reasoning: An argument that repeats itself instead of proving anything.
Whataboutism: Avoiding criticism by switching to a different accusation.

Flags are not final judgments. They are prompts to think, check, and ask better questions.
